Created in response to a brief for exhibition artwork focusing on food processes.
The brief stipulated that traditional techniques were preferred, mentioning continuous line as just one example. As a huge fan of continuous line art, this felt like the natural choice for the project.
As an artist with perfectionist tendencies, working with a single, uninterrupted stroke offers a sense of liberation—allowing energy, shape, and subtle emotion to dictate the form without the constraint of rigid precision. This continuous movement creates a fluid narrative across the canvas, celebrating freedom and spontaneity.
Fun fact: This piece was drawn by hand, using my iPad, Apple Pencil and Adobe Illustrator to create a hand-drawn, but infinitely scalable vector based drawing.
